These summer program's will be offered at Omega Zone's Community
Technology Classroom featuring 16 networked computer station's with
Microsoft Office 2003.Kimberly Walker-Updike will be instructing the
courses. Kimberly is a technology teacher at Mount Dora High School
and has a professional background in design and marketing. These fun
summer programs are more than a standard computer class. They also
build critical thinking, problem solving, team work and many other
skills for success.

Writer's Camp
June 4-8

Cost $115
Campers will explore different writing techniques and styles and then
put them to use as they create books, newspapers, commercials and more.
Each camper will receive a copy of their creations and a certificate
of completion.

Best Father's Day Gift Ever CampJune 11-15
Ages 8 - 12

Cost $115
During this week-long camp, kids will use computers to create a unique and
personal Father's Day gift that will beat any necktie. Using word processing,
desktop publishing and multimedia production software each camper will create
a custom card, and multimedia presentation for dad. Campers will need to
bring 15-30 photos (digital or print) in a zip-loc bag with their name
clearly marked on the bag. Photos will be returned on Friday. Each camper
will receive a copy of their creations and a certificate of completion.

Fitness Fun July
9-13th
Ages 8 - 12
Cost $115
Campers will investigate ways to get fit and eat right. Throughout the week
they will create a campaign for promoting healthy choices including a guide
book, nutrition poster, menus and more. The week will finish with a
Fitness Challenge Celebration.

Campers will participate in creating their own online channel. They will
storyboard, write and produce the programming for their online television
station. Videos will be uploaded for viewing at the completion of the camp.
Friday there will be a special viewing of the channel for family and friends.

Campers will participate in the steps to creating a business. They will survey
and analyze data, create a budget, write a business plan, design a logo, make
business cards and create a presentation to attract investors.
